Terms of Service

Last updated October 1, 2026

The short version: Clarity Journal is a tool for recording and reviewing your own trades. It is not financial, investment or tax advice, and you're responsible for your own trading decisions. Your journal is yours, and only your account can see it.

1. Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of Clarity Journal at clarityjournal.trade (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. What Clarity Journal is

Clarity Journal lets you log trades, review your statistics, keep journal pages and screenshots, track evaluation costs and payouts, and use calculators. It's a record-keeping and self-review tool only.

3. Not financial, investment or tax advice

Nothing in the Service is financial, investment, trading, legal or tax advice, and nothing in it is a recommendation to buy or sell anything. Statistics, charts, the Consistency Calculator and the Tax Calculator are estimates based only on what you enter, and they can be wrong or incomplete. Economic calendar data comes from a third party and may be delayed or inaccurate.

Trading carries a substantial risk of loss. You alone are responsible for your trading decisions. Always check prop firm rules with the firm itself, and check your taxes with a qualified professional.

4. Your account

5. Your content

You own the trades, notes, screenshots and anything else you add (your "content"). You give us permission to store and process your content only so we can run the Service for you.

You're responsible for your content. Only upload images and other material you have the right to use, and don't upload anything unlawful or other people's personal information without their permission.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use the Service to break the law, try to access other people's accounts or data, get around security or access controls, disrupt or overload the Service, scrape it, create accounts automatically, or resell it.

7. Third-party services

The Service relies on other providers, such as Supabase for accounts and storage, and a third-party feed for economic calendar data. We aren't responsible for their services, and their own terms may apply.

8. Changes and availability

We may change, pause or stop features of the Service. We aim to keep it running but can't promise it will always be available or error-free, so keep your own copy of anything important. You can download your data at any time from Settings.

9. No warranties

To the fullest extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including that it is accurate, reliable or fit for a particular purpose.

10. Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for trading losses, lost profits or lost data. Our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 100 if you haven't paid anything. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

11. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as 3, 9 and 10) still apply after your account ends.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the date at the top, and for important changes we'll let you know in the app. If you keep using the Service after an update, you accept the new terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [your state / country], except where the law where you live gives you rights that can't be overridden.
