The short version: we collect only what's needed to run your journal. We don't use analytics, ads or tracking, and we never sell your data. Only your account can see your trades and journal, and you can download or delete your data at any time.
Clarity Journal (clarityjournal.trade) is run by Clarity Journal. Contact us at FocusBxck@gmail.com.
We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, we don't collect payment details, and we don't sell or share your personal information for advertising.
We use your information to run the Service (saving and showing your journal), approve and manage accounts, keep the Service secure, reply when you contact us, and meet legal obligations. If you're in the EEA or UK, our legal bases are providing the Service you signed up for, our legitimate interest in keeping it secure, and complying with the law.
Your trades, journal and other saved data can only be read or changed by your own account. That's enforced by our database's access rules, not just by the app.
Our admins can see your username, email and account status so they can approve and manage accounts. The app doesn't give them access to your trades or journal. Like any hosted service, people with administrator access to our database provider could technically reach stored data. We only do that when it's needed to fix a problem, when you ask us to, or when the law requires it.
These providers may process data in other countries, including the United States.
We keep your data while your account exists. Deleting your account in Settings removes your trades, journal and other saved data straight away. To also remove your sign-in details (email and username), contact us and we'll delete them. Our providers' backups may keep copies for a short time before they're overwritten.
You can see and change your data in the app, download a copy at any time (Settings → Download my data), and delete it (Settings → Delete account). Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to ask for a copy of your data, correct it, restrict or object to how we use it, or complain to your local data protection authority. California residents: we don't sell or share personal information. To make a request, email FocusBxck@gmail.com.
The Service uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords and database access rules that keep each account's data separate. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password that you don't use anywhere else.
Clarity Journal isn't meant for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
We don't use cookies for advertising or analytics. The site stores a few things in your browser's local storage because it needs them to work:
sb-).clarityJournal:econCache).clarityJournal: keys). When you sign in, this is moved into your account once.Because these are strictly necessary and aren't used to track you, we don't show a cookie banner. You can clear them at any time in your browser settings, though you'll be signed out. The font and code providers above don't set cookies on our site, but they do receive your IP address when your browser downloads their files.
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top, and for important changes we'll let you know in the app.
